All building work – including garage and home extensions – needs to comply with current building regulations and codes. A Building Control Inspector, appointed by the Council, is required by law to ensure that buildings are designed and built in accordance with those regulations.
The inspection focus tends to be on insulation, structural integrity, drainage, electrics, and fire escape routes.
